The data that can be obtained by GOSAT-GW TANSO-3 Product Archive
are L1B products created by JAXA and L2 products created by NIES.
This page is intended to provide an overview of the data,
so please refer to Technical Docs for detailed
information.
L1B overview
The TANSO-3 L1B product uses the TANSO-3 L1A product as input and performs radiometric correction, geometric
correction,
wavelength correction, etc. on the sensor output values (DN values) to produce spectral radiance.
L1A data is not available to the general public,
and L1B data is the lowest-order data available to the
general user.
All products are created in HDF5 format.
GWT3W_L1B: Product code indicating L1B observed in Wide Mode.
GWT3F_L1B: Product code indicating L1B observed in Focus Mode.
L2 overview
The description of TANSO-3 L2 products will be reviewed and described in the updated Product Format Description.
There are two main types of products: GHG products, in which data regarding greenhouse gases are stored, and NO2
products, in which data regarding nitrogen dioxide is stored.
All products are created in HDF5 format.
GWT3W_L2_NO2: Product code indicating L2 NO2 observed in Wide Mode.
GWT3F_L2_NO2: Product code indicating L2 NO2 observed in Focus Mode.
GWT3W_L2_GHG: Product code indicating L2 GHG observed in Wide Mode.
GWT3F_L2_GHG: Product code indicating L2 GHG observed in Focus Mode.
